In most cases, this is caused by a problem with the heating Element.
If an ERROR is detected the controller display will flash an "E" followed by a number, and the power to the heating element will notbe turned on. If you have this "ERROR" condition, follow the instructions in your manual for troubleshooting.
For 5 setting controllers, the LED's will flash when an error is detected.
1) Turn off the controller power switch and unplug the controller power cord from the 120 VAC Wall outlet.
2) Be certain that the cord from the controller(s) to the Blanket is securely connected to the module on the blanket.
3) Make sure the blanket is as flat as possible, and there are no bunched up areas in the heating element.
4) Plug the controller power cord back into the 120 VAC wall outlet.
5) Turn the power back on to see if the error condition still exists.
6) After performing the above steps, if the Controller Display still indicates an error condition, Turn the controller off and unplug the power cord from the wall outlet. Contact customer service for technical support.
7) If the warming product is a dual control model and only one side indicates the “Error” turn off both controls, unplug, then reverse the Controllers to the opposite side of the warming product. Make a note if the same side still shows an “Error” or if the same Controller stillshows the “Error”. This is an indicator of whether it is a controller problem or a problem in the warming product heating circuit.
There are safety reasons that cause electric blankets to malfunction before they cause damage to person or property. Details on what you can do to minimize this can be found at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=97Qv_neCL_k
This is normally caused by one area of the heating element being bunched or pinched. First, ensure that the blanket is laid flat and not tucked in, bunched and does not have anything heavy on it.
Lay the blanket flat and run your fingers along the wire, paying special attention to the top and bottom of the blanket where the wire bends. If any portion of the wire is twisted on itself, manually twist it back.
For Standard controllers, this feature must be turned on before it will work. Note that this will only work on blankets and heated mattress pads. It will not work for throws or for products with built-in WiFi.
Follow the instructions for "Smart Home or Automatic Timer Use" in the Manual or below.
To activate this feature;
1. Turn the controller off.
2. While off, Press and hold the "PREHEAT" key for approximately 2 seconds until;
For 20 setting controllers the display should blink AO.
For 5 setting controllers the Preheat led should blink once.
3. Release the "PREHEAT" button and allow the display or LED to turn off.
4. The controller should now be in automatic mode. To test, turn controller on and allow the display/LED to dim. Do NOT turn the controller off using the power switch. Disconnect the power cord from wall outlet, wait 5 seconds, then plug the power cord back in the wall outlet. The controller should power on, perform a power up test, then remain operating at the last setting used during previous operation.
No. The control will feel warm (not hot) to the touch when functioning properly. Even when the controller is on, small amounts of electricity will cycle through it, which may make the controller warm.
If the controller gets hot to the touch, please contact customer service.
This is not a dangerous situation, but it can/will affect the functionality of the product. This most likely means that the fuse in the controller has blown for safety reasons and the product has been disabled. Please contact customer service.
We do not recommend using heated products with memory foam. Memory foam is temperature sensitive and using a warming product with it could affect the properties of the memory foam.
We do not recommend using a power strip, extension cord or splitter. Using power strips, extension cords or splitters of any type void the warranty.

Electric blankets/pads/throws should never be used by anyone unable to remove it on their own. They should also never be used by anyone that is insensitive to heat. This includes people with diabetes, poor blood circulation, using certain medications or any other condition that would cause them to not feel heat.
On blankets and heated pads, the plug should go on the bottom of the bed. The power cord should be run underneath the bed to a bedside table. Note that the cords should never have weight placed on them, including being put between a box spring and a mattress.

Yes! To prolong the life of your electric blanket, we recommend rolling the blanket rather than folding it. When storing it, do not compress it or put anything on top of it. Doing so can cause damage to the wires which could affect functionality.
The controller connector and the blanket connector are designed to fit snuggly within each other to achieve optimal performance from your electric product. Here are some helpful tips you might try if you are having trouble getting them separated.
Place the blanket on a hard surface, such as a table or the floor. Using your strongest hand, push the button on the plug and slowly wiggle the plug from left to right while with your other hand holding the blanket connector firmly in place, using the table or floor to brace it. Wiggling the plug from side to side should slowly work the connections apart disconnecting the controller cord from the blanket connector.
